taking us back to the time when Queen Elizabeth I was on the throne. However the Prideaux family have been prominent in Cornwall for longer than that being recorded as Lords of Prideaux Castle at Luxulyan at the time of the Norman Conquest in 1066, very nearly a thousand years ago. When Elisabeth and I came to live here in 1988 we had massive challenges ahead of us, but now it is exciting to see it all come to life again. We welcome you to come and share in our enjoyment of Prideaux Place, its grounds and many treasures. The house is a well known secret in Cornwall and has many things to offer and a history like no other. We look forward to welcoming you.
